Dashboard Overview
Once you sign in, the Dashboard is your home base. This page explains the main areas of the interface so you can navigate with confidence.
Sidebar Navigation
The sidebar on the left gives you quick access to every major section:
- Overview -- A summary of your organization's tool landscape, including counts, recent activity, and compliance status.
- Tools -- The full catalog of software tools tracked by your organization.
- My Tools -- Tools you have been granted access to.
- Access Requests -- Submit new requests or review pending ones (admins only).
- Team -- View and manage organization members and roles.
- Templates -- Pre-built tool entries you can add to your catalog quickly.
- Settings -- Organization settings, billing, and profile preferences.
On smaller screens the sidebar collapses into a hamburger menu.
Topbar
The topbar runs across the top of every page and contains:
- Search -- Instantly search for tools by name, tag, or department.
- Notifications bell -- Alerts for access-request updates, team invites, and system messages. A red badge shows unread count.
- Avatar menu -- Click your profile picture to access your profile, preferences, or sign out.
Theme Toggle
ToolTrack AI supports light and dark mode. You can switch between them using the theme toggle in the sidebar or topbar. Your preference is saved automatically and persists across sessions.
